christopher bailey showed us as always
some stunning pieces.
love the colors,
love the drapings,
love the belts,
love the coats,
and I already picked a piece for my next drawing.
I just couldn’t ask for more, could I?

I’ve been there
look at you christopher bailey ! standing there, at the window of this gorgeous designed apartment. being all (mister) dreamy and (mister) relaxed. having this “I-look-straight-in-the-future” look on your face. probably you were thinking about fall. and yet the summer hadn’t even started yet. it must be hard thinking about the coldest wind imaginable and golden colored leaves flying around when you secretly long for a couple of sunny days, chilled wine, a good book and a hammock. but then, when I saw your fall collection 2009, I knew that this dilemma had brought up some quite good ideas. great ideas. the winter is going to be all about light and tender dresses combined with sublime coats and heavy shoes? I’ve been there. I’ve done that. but I would love to do it again.
go for gold!
gold is not a colour. gold attracts attention and is definitely most of the time a solo player. at some point you always have to decide: silver or gold. the two are over the top. and over the top can be cheap. and cheap…well, that’s really not the point of gold in general (unless (1) you have a great taste and know/ learned how to manage both of them perfectly, (2) we are talking about christmas decoration or (3) we are really into the “trashy-thing”, but trust me, we don’t want go there now…way to complicated). one thing, that is really great about gold: it’s all about the detail. it can give a look or a room a great touch. and sometimes someone like christopher bailey appears and we learn, that we can even wear a golden dress (wihtout being a little princess or being pathethic). yes, we can!
